Curriculum

Our curriculum goes beyond language to embrace the full richness of Yoruba culture. Every lesson is thoughtfully structured, detailed, and easy to follow. Topics covered include reading, writing, and communication in Yoruba; histories of Yoruba land; Yoruba culture and etiquette; folklore; rhymes, songs and poems for children; and traditional games.

To preserve the Yoruba language and culture for future generations, and to ensure that the values, traditions, and identity of the Yoruba people are passed down with pride and intention.

Wherever you are in the world, Ile Eko Yoruba brings the Yoruba language and culture directly to you. Our students gain practical reading, writing, and speaking skills they can use immediately, alongside a deeper understanding of Yoruba history, traditions, and values.

Beyond the lessons, you become part of a growing global community of learners who share a love for the language and a desire to stay connected to their roots. Whether you are a parent raising children with Yoruba identity, a diaspora returnee, or simply someone curious about the culture, there is a place for you here.

Ile Eko Yoruba exists to make the Yoruba language accessible to everyone. We are committed to breaking down the barriers of distance, background, and circumstance that keep people from connecting with this rich language and culture. Through structured teaching, cultural immersion, and a growing global community, we work to keep Yoruba relevant, celebrated, and passed down across generations.
